Artie DeLaRiva was one of the first paramedics hired by Broward County EMS. Hired by Broward County EMS in September of 1973 and retiring in May of 2006 made Artie an EMS pioneer. He started working at Broward EMS and saw the organization grow and eventually merge with the county Fire Department and eventually merge into the Broward Sheriff's Office. After watching to many Green Acres reruns on cable, Artie decides to impersonate Mr. Douglas. According to the last e-mail Artie sent us; FARMING SUCKS! He'd rather have sand between his toes than a tractor under his butt.
